Sherbourne Health Centre is committed
to providing specialized mental health counselling services and groups that
empower LGBT people - youth, adults, couples, families and parents – to live
healthier, happier lives. Our mission is to reduce barriers to health.
Therefore, we provide a range of services – free of charge – to those who have
trouble accessing quality care due to poverty, homophobia, racism and social
isolation.
Our counsellors have an in-depth understanding of the issues and life
difficulties faced by LGBT people. Many of our counsellors identify as LGBT and
all are LGBT positive.
If you’re dealing with issues such as coming out, homophobia, gender identity,
relationship difficulties, transitioning, anxiety and depression, we can help.
Our goal is to offer high-quality, confidential services in a non-judgmental and welcoming environment. Counsellors are respectful and sensitive to your issues. Your privacy is always protected because we take strict measures to safeguard your health information.
